Memorie dal futuro. Il design di Joe Colombo per Kartell
@Museo Kartell

Within the context of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Kartell Museum and the enhancement of the materials in its archive, the temporary exhibition hosted in the museum's courtyard, ""Memories from the Future,"" dedicated to the work of Joe Colombo for Kartell, takes place. The title unites memory and future, emphasizing that the future is not to be passively awaited but actively built today, as an act of collective commitment that has solid foundations in the knowledge of the past, in memory. Among the designers who have marked the history of Kartell, Joe Colombo (1930-1971) stands out for his unique talent, which made the concept of the future central to his figure and his projects. With Joe Colombo, the future becomes concrete, taking shape in innovative ideas and objects. In his collaboration with Kartell, Joe Colombo explored fundamental themes such as experimentation with materials, technological research, and functionality, imagining a tomorrow that could already be realized in the present. His design represents an experimental and anticipatory vision. Joe Colombo's projects and objects continue to represent an evolving potential capable of inspiring new generations.
