Aledin, the secrets of the lamp
The Aledin lamp is the subject of a summer conversation with designers Alberto and Francesco Meda, hosted inside the beautiful courtyard of Palazzo Bocconi in Milan, one of the bases of Azimut Capital Management SGR S.p.A., an Azimut Group company specialising in asset management and financial consultancy services for investors. A moment dedicated to creativity and excellence, the event provides an opportunity to converse with designers and discover the secrets of the lamp, and will be followed by cocktails and live music. The Aledin table lamp by Alberto and Francesco Meda has recently achieved the highest possible recognition in the Red Dot Awards, winning in the “Red Dot: Best of the Best Product Design 2018” category. An important award within the international design community, assigned by a qualified and expert jury that evaluated more than 6300 products from 59 countries. Aledin incorporates both a high-end design and cutting-edge, sophisticated technology. Its appeal is mainly based on the choice of materials. The two articulated polycarbonate arms, which make up the structure of both models, stand out for the presence of two aluminium rods, which act as conductor wires. The lamp offers high light rendering, which makes for significant energy savings thanks to the latest-generation LED lights. Aledin is available in two different versions, Tec and Dec, which differ in their diffuser. Aledin Tec stands out for its flat head, that makes it possible to cast a direct and concurrently adjustable beam of light, since the diffuser itself can be shifted. Owing to these particular features, it is more suitable for office use, unlike the Dec version which is distinguished instead by the faceted decoration on the cone-shaped diffuser. The beam of light is therefore broader and more ambient-based, which is ideal for home use. The Aledin design event is scheduled for 7 June at 6.30pm, at Azimut Capital Management SGR S.p.A. – Palazzo Bocconi, Corso Venezia 48, Milan.
