Kartell Flagship Store Madrid
Kartell opens a new Flagship Store in Calle Claudio Coello, in Madrid's prestigious and elegant Salamanca quarter. The new store is strategically located in an exclusive shopping area that is home to many internationally acclaimed luxury brands, eye-catching boutiques and top fashion chains. With its rich history, attractive architecture and 19th century buildings, the Salamanca quarter is a favourite destination for the discerning Madrid public. The new store in Calle Coello occupies a total floor space of 200 square metres. The area is large enough to bring out the true value of the objects on display and to present a dozen or so alternative product layouts, including some carefully chosen to satisfy Spanish tastes, with various designs by Patricia Urquiola. Seen for the very first time in Spain, one setting features the latest additions to Philippe Starck’s Smart Wood collection, which now provides functionalities for the worlds of Habitat and Office. The ADAM WOOD bookcase, AL WOOD side table, EARL OF WOOD desk and new wheeled versions of the Q/WOOD and P/WOOD armchairs complement the existing products in the range and usefully expand this unique family of wood-based designs. New ideas and inspirations are also expressed by chairs now finished in innovative, high-performance, eco-friendly fabrics but with their original technical and industrial characteristics and unchanged curves and three-dimensionality. Kartell’s new Salamanca Flagship Store is revolutionary not just in its appearance but also in the exciting, all-round shopping experience it offers. The store conveys the impressive variety of Kartell products and underscores Kartell’s commitment to sustainability – a key concept described in the “Kartell loves the planet” manifesto, expressed by the products on display, and embodied in the company’s development plan.
